MR. Iroc(Aka Roca Dolla)

Mr. Iroc is my favorite rapper/producer. He's from Phoenix(Arizona).
When he was at highschool, he was interested in rap and he began rapping pretty young. Mr.Iroc set up a studio in his room. After a short time, he moves his studio in a building and called his studio: "Iroc Records".
Mr. Iroc formed the group "The Product Click" with his friends Big Dame, E-Dog, Swim Tha Hardcore & The Music Doctor. Together they will record the first Mr. Iroc's solo album called "Finally On Tha Map".Before released the album, he released(only on tape) the single "Memories" dedicated to a dead friend.

The Album was released in 1995/1996 on Iroc Records and took the first place of the arizona charts without radio playing. This album is 100% Gfunk with dark track(like One 4 the money,Str8 Flowin) sad ones(like Memories, I Wish They Come Back) and more festive(or funky) ones(like Already Knowin,Tha Product). It contains wonderful chorus singing by men and women, the talkbox is used on the tracks "I Wish they Come Back" and "Humpen" and my favorite track of all the time is on this album: "Already Knowin" that is a ode to Gfunk with his beautiful chorus by Deon and his verses by Mr. Iroc,Big Dame & Swin Tha Hardcore. Mr. Iroc produces all the tracks.
Finally On Tha Map is one of the rarest and most wanted g-funk album. The only chance to get one is that a collector put it in auction on Ebay. 4 copy of this albums has been sold this year on Ebay.(respectively for 75$, 124$, 52$) and I won the last one for "only" 37$.

Then Mr. Iroc had one son and one daughter.
He produced then for Bookie's album "Stressin".
In 2001, he released his second album "The Release"
The Product Click is on this album too. I already download this album and it's very good but if I got the possibility to buy it next year on Ebay, I will do it. The Release is available on all the amazon(.com, .fr, .de, .co.uk,etc) but it's really too expensive.

In 2008, after changed his name to Roca Dolla, he released a double album "Roca Is A Classic" on  5 Fifth Coast Records
This album sounds no more Gfunk but its one of the best of 2008 for me. Some veterans are on the album like Bookie, AZ Mike Mill or Big Dame and a lot of new and unknow rapper from Arizona. This album minimum cost is 35-40$ used.

Now Roca Dolla produces news Arizona artists like Killy Kill and directed a lot of video clip

(PS: next time I will try to don't speak about Gfunk...)

Battle Royal - The worst movie ever !

Battle Royal is a 2000 Japanese movie with Takeshi Itano as main star.

Story
Towards 2050 Japan is part of an Empire in Asia where teenagers are more and more violent. So the government decides to vote a law named Battle Royal. The law is to take, at random, a class of students and send them kill each other on an island. The story begins with Shuya Nanahara a student of the Kanagawa Prefecture who is selected with his whole class to participate to Battle Royal. They thought going on a school trip, but when they woke up they were on the island.

After that, their professor explains them the rules of the game with the help of an interactive video. They have around their neck a necklace that tells the teacher where they are. Every six hours a new zone of the island is forbidden so that at the end, all the students will be at the same place. If, at the end of the three days two or more students are still alive their collar will explode.

So begins the carnage. The film focus on some of the students and how they will die... But some of them will rebel against the authority, and the government's plans will be compromised...

My personal opinion
I think, this movie is one of the most funny and stupid I ever seen! The actors are so bad! Sometimes Japanese's way of acting is a bit strange or not conventional, but these actors are so bad that the whole movie becomes so comic! There are so many inconsistencies that we don't understand some parts. And the end is just epic. I won't reveal it because the film would lose his interest!

If you have time to waste or friends to make laugh, don't think too much, just show them Battle Royal!

Montecaos

We are in december, soon Christmas... So it's time for COOKIES!

It's not really "Christmas's cookies", but they are really, really good!

Those biscuits called Montecaos. They are from Algeria, and are shortbread.
I found this recipe at the show "Un dîner presque parfait" on M6. I will try it because at the TV they seemed very good! So, I went on the website (http://undinerpresqueparfait.m6.fr/) and I checked the recipe. I try it and it was wonderful! In the kitchen it smelled good and the cookies were perfects!
There are variants but I try only this one!

For this recipe you need :

-90g. icing sugar
-15cl oil
-100g. almonds
-250g. flour
-1/2 packet of backing powder
-Some cinnamon powder

Preheat oven to 170°C.
In a recipient, mix oil, sugar and almonds. Add the backing powder.

Make small balls, sprinkle with cinnamon and flatten the balls with a fork.

Put your biscuits in the oven for 15 minutes.

Sprinkle also with cinnamon and just enjoy!

If you like to cook, try it! And more, the recipe is very easy to make and veryfast!
